The Cape Blanco Light, built in 1870, is Oregon's Southernmost lighthouse. It is situated at the Westernmost point of the state, Cape Blanco, Northwest of Port Orford.

The windswept grassy hills and rugged coastline here are reminiscent of Ireland, from whence it's most distinguished residents, the Hughes Family, originated.
