This Black Bear (Ursus americanus) could be found in the same meadow by Antelope Creek near Tower Falls for three days in a row. It was a full-time job for the rangers to keep traffic from backing up and ensuring people kept their distance from him.
He was very difficult to photograph. If you exposed on his dark fur the grass would be blown out. If you exposed on the grass his fur would be under-exposed.
