I like images of jungles, where the foreground is identifiable as lush vegetation and the background is a mystery, lost in the thickness of a tropical mist.
At one point, the mist on the Last Chance Coastal Trail became so dense that it was reminiscent of such a jungle scene, and I tried to capture that feeling in this image.
My intent here is not to capture the magic of the Redwood trees enveloped by mist in Northern California's Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, but rather to transport them down into the humid jungles of South America.
