The plaque for this room reads:
"Thomas's Room
Thomas, another of the unmarried Hughes sons who worked on the farm, may have occupied this room. Note the absence of a closet. A freestanding wardrobe or armoire would have been used instead. The molding at the top of the walls is pressed fiber material and was a later addition to the decor."
