A young member of a herd of Bighorn Sheep (Ovis canadensis) that frequented the area between Phantom Lake and Geode Creek in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
On most early mornings and late evenings this herd, consisting of mostly ewes, teenagers, and kids, would come down off the ridge to get a drink from the creek that ran below the road. Then they would graze along the roadside for 30 minutes or so, completely snarling traffic, and then disappear back up the ridge when they were done.
