Port Townsend is situated at the very Northeastern tip of the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington. It has a long history, going back to 1792, and still retains its 19th century charm and Victorian structures in it’s Port Townsend Historic District. The town has a good safe harbor and has become a center for maritime industries and crafts.
This place is a treasure-trove of photographic opportunities, be it on a sunny day with blue sky and puffy white clouds, or when it’s gray and overcast, making colors more vibrant and offering unique reflections on the water-soaked pavement.
Speaking of rain, bring rain gear. This is the Olympic Peninsula, and it is more often wet here than not.
