Shy and elusive, the re-introduced beaver may be hard to sight, but evidence of it's voracious appetite are easy to spot along the course of the San Pedro River in Southeastern Arizona.
Description

The remnants of a beaver-chewn Cottonwood tree on a shaded embankment along the San Pedro River. Young cottonwoods are reflected in the slow-moving water, and in the distance, beyond dried brown grasslands, clusters of Cottonwood trees line the course of the river as it weaves through the Southeastern Arizona desert.
